October 15th And 17th 2019
Dar es Salaam. The Higher Education Credit Board (HESLB) has said
October 15 and 17, 2019 will be announced the names of students who will
benefit from the loan.By October 30, 2019, before the colleges are opened the funding of the beneficiaries will have reached the colleges and the board is worth Sh125 billion.
Speaking to the media today on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, the board's executive director Abdul-Razaq Badru said the names of the student loans will begin from the two dates.
"The money is about Sh125 billion for the first quarter of the year we already have, if ripe food is waiting for consumers and by October 30 they will be arriving at their colleges, ie opening colleges," said Badru.
Emphasizing the issue deputy Minister of Education in Tanzania, William Olenasha has called on the colleges to make sure students earn money on time.
Olenasha who made the visit to the board today said there had been complaints of loans reaching the colleges but not reaching the target audience on time.
